Evans Creamery
In 1927, Walter Evans began the Manufacture of butter in his new creamery behind his building at 108 East Main Street. In 1932, he installed the largest and most modern butter churns available which could handle one ton at one churning.
Following the death of Mr. Evans in 1946, his wife Josephine, continued operating the business until 1953, when it was sold to the Lodi Creamery.
The distinctive two-pound blue crocks in which the Evans butter was packed are much sought after by collectors.
